Selling these Italian cookies at farmers markets has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It is astounding that, being a new vendor, with a new product, how welcomed and trusted my new customers made me feel. Biscotti and pizzelle were a part of my life growing up. We thought it was just normal, typical. However, once my mother (God rest her soul) started gifting them to friends and co-workers, we realized how special they were. They let us know that they tried to purchase some after enjoying ours and could never find anything that compared. My mom was then on the hook to gift them year after year. I did the same thing. I have gifted these to a friend every Christmas Eve for too many years to count and I’ve recently found out that she has never shared even one with her husband!
